To make a lasting impression at Sourcing at MAGIC 2024, Inflow's design team embarked on an ambitious project: creating a collection that would showcase our exceptional craftsmanship and innovative ideas. With just two months to develop fifteen unique looks, the pressure was on. From late-night brainstorms to last-minute fabric swaps, our team faced countless challenges. But fueled by passion and determination, we overcame every obstacle. In this blog, we'll take you on a journey behind the scenes, revealing the creativity, perseverance, and unwavering commitment that went into crafting this ethereal collection.
The Creative Spark
The journey began with a spark of inspiration, igniting a deep exploration of flow. We delved into its fluidity, its grace, and its transformative power to evoke a sense of tranquility. This became the guiding principle for our FW24 collection, a harmonious blend of nature and contemporary trends.
Crafted by the visionary Mr. Trí Phan, our in-house designer, this collection embraces a warm, inviting mood that reflects the cooler weather. We focused on "clean-cut" aesthetics, creating pieces that are both minimalist and modern. This contemporary style aligns with current fashion trends, as consumers increasingly seek sustainable, long-lasting designs.

Fabrics Selection And Material Sourcing
The sketches were transformed into tangible reality through meticulous pattern-making and fabric selection. Our team delved into a treasure trove of materials, seeking those that would drape gracefully and evoke the collection's ethereal essence. Each fabric was chosen for its unique qualities, ensuring that the final pieces were visually striking and incredibly comfortable to wear. After careful experimentation, we settled on a palette of five exquisite textiles: luxurious wool, crisp poplin cotton, timeless leather, rugged khaki cotton, and cozy polar fleece. Thanks to Inflow’s network of over 150 fully vetted suppliers, sourcing and importing materials is efficient and timely.
Pattern Development and Proto Sample Making
Once the fabrics were selected, the next step was to translate our designs into tangible pieces through pattern-making. Our skilled pattern makers meticulously crafted patterns based on the sketches, ensuring that the proportions and fit were accurate.
With the patterns in hand, we moved on to prototyping. Our seamstresses carefully constructed prototypes using muslin fabric, allowing us to evaluate the fit, drape, and overall aesthetic of each piece. This stage was crucial for identifying any areas that needed refinement.
During the prototyping phase, we focused on refining the details. We experimented with different closures, stitching techniques, and embellishments to enhance the overall design and functionality of the garments, ensuring that the final product met our high standards.
Fit Sample
Once the proto sample was finalized, we created fit samples using the actual fabrics chosen for the collection. These samples were made in a variety of sizes to ensure that the garments fit a wide range of body types. Fit models were carefully selected to represent the target demographic, and they tried on the samples to identify any areas that needed further adjustments.
By carefully analyzing the fit samples, we were able to make any necessary modifications to the patterns and ensure that the final garments would be both comfortable and flattering. This process was crucial to achieving a high-quality and well-fitting product.

The tight deadline presented numerous challenges. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and late nights. However, the team's passion and determination fueled them forward. Through perseverance and collaboration, they overcame obstacles and emerged with a collection that exceeded their expectations.
